Winter is undoubtedly my favorite time to visit Yosemite, the snow makes for an ever changing landscape -- as it accumulates -- as it melts -- as the flakes fall -- as the skies begin to clear. This galley has images from two Yosemite trips -- one on March 26, 2012 and one from April 13, 14 and 15, 2012. Some of the images were taken in heavy snow -- shelter of the camera provided by an umbrella (a tool I now appreciate is essential for winter photo outings). All images have been resized by 50%, in both vertical and horizontal dimensions -- so the original images have 4 times the number of pixels. Even with this size reduction the images have a surprising amount of detail -- so I encourage use of the larger viewing dimensions. I hope you enjoy the images, comments are welcome.
